Besson Street development site consultation

The joint venture partnership between Lewisham Council and Grainger plc, alongside their architects MaccreanorLavington and the design team, have been working on proposals to redevelop the site on Besson Street. Following their first exhibition of the emerging design back in May, they will soon hold a further exhibition on their refined proposals prior to submitting a planning application.

The public exhibition will take place over two days, at the following times and locations:

Tuesday 10 September, 4.00pm to 8.00pm at
The Somerville, 260 Queens Road, London, SE14 7JN
Saturday 14 September, 10.00am to 2.00pm
at All Saints Community Centre, 105 New Cross Road, London,
SE14 5DJ.

The proposals for the Besson Street site include the provision of a GP surgery and pharmacy as well as some new community space for the New Cross Gate Trust. This is alongside up to 325 new, professionally managed homes for rent. At least 35% of these new homes will be affordable housing, with rents set at London Living Rent levels, and they will be tenure blind and pepper potted throughout the development.

If you are unable to attend the exhibition, or if you have any questions, please get in touch with the project team on bessonstreet@fourcommunications.com or 020 3907 8982. Alternatively, further information about the plans is available
