With the funding support of New Cross Ward Assembly and other funding from Lewisham Council, NXG Trust is able to deliver Knife Crime Awareness Workshops to year 5 and year 6 pupils in five local primary schools over the next few months. These workshops help children explore age appropriate issues around knife crime and raise awareness of how children can look after themselves and others. It covers emergency first aid and helps children recognise where their vitals organs are and what to do with a serious bleed. We also have a visit to the Ben Kinsella Trust in Islington which offers an amazing educational experience around knife crime, Ben Kinsella’s legacy to the community.
